On March 5, MBEC is awarded with Package No.5 for Phase Ⅰ for Line 14 of Mass Rapid Transit in Guangzhou has a construction period of 852 calendar days. The total length for main line of the project is 6301m and 988m for branch lines which will be undertaken by MBEC 2.

Package No.5 for Phase Ⅰ for Line 14 of Mass Rapid Transit in Guangzhou is comprised of the following scope: Structural and Ancillary Works for Xinhe Transit Station and Taiping Station, Viaduct Section for Lijiatang to Xinhe, ?Structural and Ancillary Works for Viaduct Section from Xinhe to Taiping, Precast Beams for Taiping Viaduct Section and Curbs. The total length for bridge part is 6.3km having typical span of 40m with maximum span of 150m; Roadway, bridge, drainage, traffic works, diversion works etc. for upgrading works for section K30+240～K36+790 for Guangcong Road as well as other works. The bridge works will include 5 nos. pedestrian bridges, 3 nos. interchanges having typical span of 40m and maximum span of 60m.
